Booking Statuses
Every rental on Curba follows a step-by-step process. Here's what each status means:
1. Sent
The renter has submitted a rental inquiry. The host needs to review and respond.
What to do:
- Host: Review the request and accept or decline
- Renter: Wait for the host's response
2. Accepted
The host has accepted the rental request. The renter can now complete payment.
What to do:
- Renter: Click Pay Now to complete payment
- Host: Wait for the renter to pay
3. Paid
Payment has been confirmed. The host should now share pickup details.
What to do:
- Host: Click Share Pickup Details to provide your address, contact number, and pickup instructions
- Renter: Wait for pickup details
4. Ready for Pickup
The host has shared pickup details. The renter can view the address, contact number, and instructions.
What to do:
- Renter: Pick up the item and click Confirm Pickup
- Host: Wait for the renter to confirm pickup
5. Picked Up
The renter has confirmed they have the item. Payment is captured at this point.
What to do:
- Renter: Enjoy your rental! Return the item by the agreed date and click Return Item
- Host: Wait for the item to be returned
6. Returned
The renter has marked the item as returned and provided the return condition.
What to do:
- Host: Inspect the item and click Confirm Return to complete the booking
- Renter: Wait for the host to confirm
7. Completed
The booking is finished. Both parties can view the booking summary.
What to do:
- Renter: Leave a review of your experience
- Host: Earnings are available for withdrawal
Canceled / Declined
- Canceled — The booking was canceled by either party (cancellation fees may apply)
- Declined — The host declined the rental request (no charges)
Where to Track Your Bookings
- Inquiry Progress Page — Track a specific booking step by step
- Booking Dashboard — View all your bookings (as renter or host) in one place
- Email Notifications — You'll receive emails at key steps throughout the process
- In-App Notifications — Real-time updates appear in your notification bell
