Listing an Item

Before You Start​

You must complete identity verification before creating a listing. See Identity Verification.

How to Create a Listing​

Step 1 — Item Details​

  • Title — A clear, descriptive name for your item (e.g. "Canon EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera")
  • Description — Describe the item, its condition, and what's included (max 400 characters)
  • Category — Select the most relevant category for your item
  • Condition — Choose the current condition of the item
  • Photos — Upload multiple photos. The first photo will be the primary image shown in search results
  • Tags — Add keywords to help renters find your item (optional)

Step 2 — Pricing​

  • Price for 1 Day — Your daily rental rate
  • Price for 3 Days — Discounted rate for 3-day rentals
  • Price for 7 Days — Discounted rate for weekly rentals
  • Item Value — The replacement value of your item (used for deposit calculation)
  • Location — The pickup location for the item

Step 3 — Rental Rules​

  • Minimum Rental Period — The shortest rental you'll accept (in days)
  • Maximum Rental Period — The longest rental you'll accept (in days)
  • Cancellation Policy — Choose from Flexible, Medium, or Strict (see Cancellation Policies)

After Submission​

  1. Your listing is submitted for review
  2. You'll receive a Listing Created email confirmation
  3. A Curba admin will review your listing
  4. Once approved, you'll receive a Listing Published email
  5. Your item is now live and visible to renters

Editing a Listing​

You can edit your listing at any time from Profile > My Listings. Changes to title, photos, pricing, and rental rules can all be updated.

Tips for a Great Listing​

  • Use clear, well-lit photos from multiple angles
  • Include everything that comes with the rental (cables, cases, accessories)
  • Set competitive pricing — check similar items on the platform
  • Write an honest description of the item's condition
  • Respond quickly to inquiries to build a good reputation
