Renting an Item

How to Rent​

1. Browse and Find an Item​

  • Browse listings by category or use the search function
  • Filter by location to find items near you
  • Click on a listing to view full details, pricing, and reviews

2. Check Pricing​

Before you send an inquiry, you'll see a full price breakdown:

3. Send an Inquiry​

  1. Select your start date and end date
  2. Choose a pricing option (daily, 3-day, or 7-day rate)
  3. Click Inquire to send your request to the host
  4. You'll receive an Inquiry Sent confirmation email

4. Wait for Host Response​

The host will review your request and either:

  • Accept — You'll be notified and can proceed to payment
  • Decline — You'll be notified and can look for other options

5. Complete Payment​

Once the host accepts:

  1. Navigate to the inquiry progress page
  2. Click Pay Now
  3. Choose a saved payment method or enter a new card
  4. Confirm payment
  5. If a security deposit is required, it will be authorized on the same card

Your payment is held securely until you pick up the item.

6. Pick Up the Item​

  • The host will share pickup details (address, contact number, instructions)
  • View these details on the Ready for Pickup step
  • When you have the item, click Confirm Pickup
  • The payment is captured at this point

7. Return the Item​

  • Return the item by the agreed end date
  • Click Return Item on the inquiry progress page
  • Select the item's return condition and add any notes
  • The host will confirm the return to complete the booking

8. Leave a Review​

After the booking is complete, you can rate your experience (1-5 stars) and leave a comment. Reviews help other renters make informed decisions.

Saving Items for Later​

Click the heart icon on any listing to save it to your favourites. Access your saved items from your profile.
